Just when you thought it was safe to drink bottled water
again a new study conducted by scientists from Nanjing University and the
University of Florida say “maybe not”. While many brands have worked hard to
eliminate BPA from their bottles researchers still found amounts of Antimony, a
trace heavy metal which has been found to play a role in lung, heart and
gastrointestinal diseases. The higher the temperature tested, the higher the
amounts showed up in the water, getting as high as four times the level recommended
by the EPA. So, time to buy a new water bottle and fill it up from a Britta
pitcher!
