At least once a week I will be demonstrating a product for a customer and mention the heart rate monitoring and they say "Oh I never pay attention to that." Why do cardio if you're not monitoring your heart rate? There is just as much risk that you are working too hard as there is that you are working too easy and either can reduce the effectiveness of your workout, especially if you are doing interval training sessions where you want to see large variations of heart rate levels.
